Delegates will be expected to descend/ascend and traverse a designated confined space within a training simulator, wearing an approved safety harness and breathing apparatus with face mask/hood and PPE. The delegate will be expected to crawl through a series of tunnels under various simulated emergency conditions that include; noise, limited light, and variable safe atmospheric conditions.
Course Aim:
The aim of this course is to prepare candidates to enter, work in and exit low risk confined spaces safely.
The course includes underpinning knowledge of confined space legislation, identification of confined spaces and their associated hazards, confined space risk assessments and Safe Systems of Work for Confined Space Operations and the legal requirement and importance of a Confined Space Rescue Plan.
Please Note: Low Risk Courses do NOT include the use of ANY breathing apparatus.

Certification
All persons who successfully complete the practical and written test will receive a City & Guilds 6160-01 Level 2 Award in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces, valid for three years.
