Street works qualifications under NRSWA must be renewed every five years. Reassessment should be completed before your current card or certificate expires, so book early to avoid any gap in your ability to work on site.

Yes. Our reassessment sessions cover the core street works units alongside hot lay bituminous reinstatement, so you can renew everything in a single booking rather than attending separate courses.

If your qualification lapses, you may not be able to work on or supervise street works until you are reassessed. Depending on how long it has been, you may need to retake the full course rather than a shorter reassessment, so it is best to renew in good time.

Operatives and supervisors who carry out or oversee hot lay reinstatement in the highway need to hold a valid, in-date hot lay unit. If your role includes bituminous reinstatement, we recommend including this unit in your reassessment.
