- Equipment Required: Delegates should bring the following books: 18th Edition BS7671 and Guidance Notes 3. A calculator, notepad, and pen are also required.
- Please note: It would be expected that candidates have previously achieved a Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or similar before undertaking this qualification
Course Overview:
The course covers all aspects of electrical inspection and testing, including:
- Safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations
- Initial verification of new electrical installations
- Pre-service inspections of electrical installations
- Testing and commissioning of electrical systems — both before and after circuits are energised
- Completion of electrical installation certificates and related documentation
- Ensuring the safety of systems and equipment before inspection and testing
- Conducting periodic inspections and producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
- Understanding the differences between initial verification and periodic inspection
- Accurately interpreting test results and recording observations and classifications
- Producing condition reports with supporting documentation
