• Please note: It would be expected that candidates have previously achieved a Level 3 Electrotechnical qualification or similar before undertaking this qualification

• Safe isolation of electrical circuits and installations
• Initial verification of new electrical installations
• Pre-service inspections of electrical installations
• Testing and commissioning of electrical systems — both before and after circuits are energised
• Completion of electrical installation certificates and related documentation
• Ensuring the safety of systems and equipment before inspection and testing
• Conducting periodic inspections and producing Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICR)
• Understanding the differences between initial verification and periodic inspection
• Accurately interpreting test results and recording observations and classifications
• Producing condition reports with supporting documentation
